Hino Distributors NZ have put a range of trucks to the test at the annual track day at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park.
The 300, 500 and 700-series Hinos were all put through a variety of challenges at the October 18 event.
The day is all about showcasing the latest technology and features of the light, medium and heavy-duty trucks in a safe and controlled environment.
This includes Hino’s vehicle stability control which kicked into action on the Hampton Downs skid pad.
The reversing challenge also highlighted Hino’s reverse cameras which now come as standard across the entire range.
Hino’s new 300-series 4×4 was also put to the test on the off-road track.
The 7500kg (GVM) truck was a winner over tricky outdoor terrain and mud-filled obstacles.
Its features include six-speed overdrive transmission, all wheel disk brakes, a reversing camera, ‘Navigation for Trucks’ GPS system, cruise control, and a 170L fuel capacity, reducing the risk for customers heading off-road for long periods.
