The third generation Renault Trafic released in 2014 has been awarded the Best Medium Van title for the second consecutive year by the specialist UK publication, What Van?
Renault New Zealand has confirmed the third generation Trafic built in the French Sandouville plant will be coming to our shores in 2016, but is unable to give greater details of price and specification.
The What Van? Awards 2016 were presented at a December 2015 ceremony in London.
The awards seek to reward the best products, companies and services in the industry for their ability to make life easier, cleaner, safer and more efficient for light commercial vehicle operators in the UK.
“We’re delighted that What Van? has yet again recognised Trafic with the title of Best Medium Van,” says Renault UK LCV product manager Steve Wilson.
Wilson says Trafic’s diverse and innovative range caters for all kinds of trade applications, thanks to its three different body styles, versatile cabin and cargo space.
The Trafic provides the best load capacities on the medium panel van market with intelligent solutions to make the loading area more practical.
Innovative features such as keyless entry, touch-screen infotainment, mobile office storage and functionality, as well as sophisticated stability control, are available in the UK market.
The editorial panel of What Van? Magazine calls on their combined decades of experience in the light commercial vehicle industry when making the awards.
Renault New Zealand sales and operations coordinator Sal Marti told DIESELtalk that the local distributor hopes to have the latest 3rd generation Trafic on display at the National Fieldays in June 2016.
Marti says planning to bring the new 3rd-gen Trafic to New Zealand is under way, but Renault NZ is currently negotiating pricing, specification, and variant details with the factory.
